Why You Should Try a New Digital Platform

Humans love routine, and for good reason. Change, or trying something out of the ordinary, can be stressful and even take longer than sticking to “the usual”. However, if you want to keep your business expanding, trying something new is required. In the digital space, you need to have more than just a website and a Facebook page. Your competitors are finding new customers by meeting them on new platforms.

It can be difficult to know which platforms will work for your business, and will help you generate new client leads. That’s where the team at Search SEO Chicago steps in. It is our job to know about various digital platforms and to provide suggestions about new ones for clients to try. However, our clients have to be ready to try it out and to give each new platform the chance to work.

More than Facebook
For many of our clients, Facebook is their only social media platform. This is too bad, as there are millions of potential clients using other platforms daily. We encourage our clients to begin branching out by selecting an additional social media platform to meet new clients. Instagram, Twitter or even Snapchat can be excellent additions for your digital marketing plan.

More than Social Media
In addition to branching out your social media use, we also recommend trying out other new digital platforms to increase client reach. Videos, for example, are an excellent marketing tool that business owners do not implement into their digital presence. Trying a new type of advertising, like switching out banner ads or pay per click content, can also be helpful over 3 or 6 months.

Don’t Stop Too Quickly
One of the biggest mistakes we see is clients looking at a report from a new digital platform and choosing to stop it too quickly. As with all digital marketing, it takes time to gain traction online. Quitting your new platform within a month or two does not allow for clients to find you in that way.

We are ready to give you recommendations and even help you get started with new digital platforms for your business. However, we need you to be ready to try something new and consider a change. Are you ready to make positive changes in your online business plan? Give us a call to get started.
