What is the Right Type of Content for Your SEO?

Nowadays, pretty much every business is going digital. Even if your product isn’t particularly digital, you must have a website set up for your business. However, it doesn’t end there. You need your website to reach your potential customers. And there are many methods to do that. You just need to find a balance between reaching your customers and helping search engines rank your website properly. Search engines love content. In Bill Gates’ words, “Content is King” and he is absolutely right. So, what kind of content is best?

Informative, Resourceful, and Readable Content is the Way to Go

When you write content for your website, you must focus on two things: readers and search engines. You need to optimize your content in such a way that both the users and search engines find it valuable. Now, don’t be intimidated. The process is fairly doable when you spend time and effort learning how to balance both. Your content needs to provide important information that readers are looking for. Focus on providing a solution to the users’ problems, since that will appeal to both. Churning out random and useless content will only waste your time and energy.

While planning your content, make sure the content is resourceful. Don’t just write things you can’t back up with something solid. Provide statistics, facts, and proven theories while making a point. This makes your website look trustworthy to both users and search engines. At the same time, avoid salesy language. Remember that you are here to provide valuable information. Make your readers happy, then they will gladly consider buying your products.

Many people underestimate the importance of content’s readability. You can make all the points you want, but if you hide them behind complexities your audience will not understand, they will get lost. Try to use as less jargon as possible. Write short sentences and paragraphs. This makes it easier for the users to skim through the article and find the information they are looking for. This also decreases the bounce rate, which is an important SEO factor. Finally, focus on including the right keywords, but don’t go overboard and stuff your content with them.
